The Thinking Environment.
-
The Thinking Environment is a framework that teaches people how to produce independent thinking in their organizations, teams and lives.
You will participate in 2-4 thinking sessions. The first session will focus on thinking through a pressing issue. Depending on the purpose of your thinking, you might end up understanding the issue better or identifying a limiting assumption and potential steps to start reversing it.
The last session(s) will focus on debriefing and identifying any next steps.
-
“The quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first. The quality of our thinking depends on the way we treat each other while we are thinking” (Nancy Kline).
In an environment that shows you the outmost respect, you will learn how by thinking independently you can reach the best insights. You are the expert of yourself, and the quality of your own thinking is unmatched.
You will also learn how to be the best Thinking Partner, and grand the same privilege to those around you.

Adult development.
-
What does it mean to be an adult? It feels that adulthood is tied to someone’s legal age. But development in adulthood is more complex than that. At Thinkering. we use a framework called the Subject-Object Interview (SOI) to help us understand where someone is in their journey of development and where they want to be.
The SOI is a reliable instrument designed to explore and identify the complexity of a person’s meaning-making and current position on the developmental continuum of adult development, as described by constructive-developmental theory(1).
You will participate in several sessions. In the 1st session we will conduct the SOI to understand where your growth edge is. In the 2nd session, we will debrief your interview. We will then decide on the number of following sessions, depending on your needs.

At a minimum, you will receive a detailed debrief that will show you how and why you may be struggling with some challenges that you face. You can then decide if you want to keep working on these challenges, with your coach, in order to start moving past them.
The true focus of this type of coaching is to target growth. On the long-term, the goal is to help you reach ever higher levels of self-understanding, awareness and self-transformation. At the highest recorded levels of growth, you will be able to naturally escape your limits, enjoying the change that takes place, with a present mindset.

Values hierarchy.
-
Our values are the fundamental causes of our emotions. If we want to truly understand ourselves and our behaviors, we need to know what triggers them. For example, do you find yourself constantly saying “yes” to everything, at the cost of your own wellbeing? Do you end up feeling overwhelmed and even mad at these people who always expect that you will do everything? Then you need to answer the question “what if I said no”? Perhaps you are afraid that you are not “strong enough” unless you can manage everything. That’s only the beginning.
A values hierarchy shows you what’s the first thing that you are willing to compromise, when resources (e.g., time) are scarce. And what is the thing you would never compromise.
-
You will participate in several sessions (a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 8), during which you will work on various exercises that will help you identify your values hierarchy. What are the 5 things that drive the way you choose to live your life?
How do you feel about your values hierarchy? Does it agree with the person you think you are? Is there anything that you would like to change in order to move towards a more ideal version of yourself?
Identifying your values hierarchy is one of the best ways to enhance your self-awareness and become a more conscious decision maker.

What people say about us.
Calm but fun, sincere, understanding. Many of the coaches that I talked to were wonderful but too energetic and enthusiastic for me. I loved that she was calm.
My coach really listened to what I was saying and what I wasn’t saying. She helped me stay focused and get to the heart of the matter.
In all my sessions I get a sense of security that I can speak my mind in a safe and comfortable environment. Talking to my coach, I am able to open up about things as I feel she is not judgmental.
She kept pushing me to dig deeper into my thought process and find a way to my own solutions. She has a way to make people feel safe to discuss sensitive, vulnerable, deep-rooted issues. Already something had shifted within me after the session.
She is genuine and sincere, as a coach, which is the biggest and rarest value I find in her as a person. I really appreciate her as a coach, and big thank you for your unconditional care, attention and support given to me.
